ati warranty

i want to buy an ati card on ebay but the seller says is "sold as is". so i may get a non working card.

i saw on ebay a lot of messages (maybe 3 -4) from members that received an ati card DOA (from the same seller), but then , they sent it to ati and they repair/replace it .

do u think maybe i can do that in case a get a DOA video card?
do i need a receipt to make efective my warranty?

even people that get a new card ,i dont think they keep a receipt of a 2 years video card.

Don't buy from ebay. Save a bit more money and buy your card from computer shop, they don't sell broken cards if they know that the card is broken and you always have nice warranty.
 
i know , but i font have enough money to buy a nrand new card , and the card on ebay maybe i get it for 30 bucks, if it is DOA maybe i can send it to ati.
 
Consider it a gamble. And the first rule of gambling is "Don't bet money you can't afford to lose" ;)
