whats the difference and which is better according to your experiences?

They are both useful. ATItool can auto-overclock your card a lot better than tray tools, but tray tools can set up your fan to blow more at hotter temps and stuff (atitool might be able to do this but I don't have much experience with ATItool so I don't really know.)

ATi Tray Tools is an all-in-one program for anything from making profiles and settings for certain games to allowing for some overclocking. I had a few issues with some lockups and whatnot but I'm probably just a small few that have this problem. Good program though..

ATi Tool is just straight overclocking..

i like the temperature monitor. when it gets warm again i will need to keep an eye on it due to poor insulation in my house.

it seems u guys might be a little misinformed about atitool. as far as i know, it can do these thigns:

1. auto-overclock your card (automatically finds max core and mem values without artifacts)
2. manual overlock (input ur own core and mem values)
3. manual adjust fan speed (leave the fan running at 50% all the time, per se)
4. automatic fan speed (throttles fan speed according to gpu temps that YOU fill in)
5. display core temp (also an option to display core temp in tray when minimized)
6. automatic overclock/underclock when entering 3D/2D mode
7. adjust memory timings (although i wouldn't recommend this)
8. more stuff i probably forgot to mention

as far as i know, atitool cannot create specific profiles as MLuke mentioned, that allows for different overclocks in different 3d games which would be a pretty nice option in my opinion
