ati tool and rivatuner issues

I cannot for the life of me get these two programs to install and run right. i have used them before on vista but not windows 7 64 bit.
ati tool keeps saying i cannot do the visual stress test because i need to go to display properties and enable the card out to the monitor
riva tuner on the other hand whenever i install it and go open it it just runs the damn install process over again. i have no clue in the world what im doing wrong here guys. i did the nvidia software too and that isnt working for shit either

so if anyone can come on here and talk me thru it id appreciate it. i need to adjust this 8800gs fan speed so it doesnt roast inside my case and a little overclocking would be nice lol.

ive seriously been at this for about a hour now. i get pissed and delete it and reinstall it and see if i did something wrong but i cannot for the life of me see anything that im doing is wrong. if anyone can help please do so this shit is driving me crazy. all i want is to turn up the fan speed and oc my video card a little bit and run ati tool to stress test it for artifacts.

i like using riva tuner for the overclocking and using ati tool and furmark for the benchmark as it heats the cards up really good. ive installed and ran intel burn test, real temp, fraps, and heavy load today and those all work fine but the damn gpu software wont work for the life of me lol. its time for me to pop a xanax and chill out
 
seriously 15 views and no help come on guys. Im trying to get my game on tonight but I dont want to with that fan at stock. I tried to install rivatuner and ati tool another 4 times and it wont work each time i try it same exact problem. Well im off to try this shit again and hopefully i can just get my fan speed adjusted I dont even care about the overclock right now that can be done tomorrow during the day lol
