I've searched high and low attempting to find an answer to this so hopefully the awesome [H] community can help me out.My problem is that on my LCD monitor BenQ M2400HD powered by my ATI Radeon 5770 seems to have what are sort of horizontal scan lines where it looks like it's refreshing the image sort of. They aren't physical lines but it's as if the image is refreshing over and over and I can see where it's drawing. A stipulation to these 'scan lines' is that I have to be playing a 3D game they will show but not on a static desktop. *Using VGA connection.

I just don't know what it could possibly be.

Edit: I just tried with a HDMI cable and the problem isn't there anymore. Any idea?

I'd guess that either your monitor wasn't very good at processing the VGA input signal, or you were getting some signal noise (for example, if you had power running next to the VGA cable)

The solution is simple, of course. Don't use VGA.

It could also be either a bad DVI-VGA adapter or bad VGA cord. I've had a few problems with bad cords over the years.
