I just had to tell you guys what great customer service ATI gave me. My 9700 Pro died on me after a long time of hard service. I emailed ATI on 2/29 for an RMA#. They emailed me back that day, and I sent it up to them air. I got my new 9700 Pro today, they sent the replacement UPS Next Day. No questions asked. I am very pleased. Just thought I would share that:D .

Nice to hear. I had to wait 10 (yes, TEN) weeks for Sapphire to replace my Radeon 9700NP. The fan died on it. Just got it back about 2 weeks ago.

Ouch Korruption, you should of just ordered a new GPU fan like I did. Ice all the way :)

I wasn't in the best financial situation at the time. So I made do with a 16mb ATI Rage128 PCI card.

Had similar service from them when my 9500 Pro died after a year. They sent me a new one rather promptly.

I just wish a lot of vendors were as good as ATI.

can someone post on how good Asus' RMA service is? i just wanna know if my Asus 9600XT craps out on me sometime before i replace the bitch(it best damn well not)

ATI's RMA service has been good to me, however I have had to use the RMA service too many times for the same problem. The tuner on my 8500DV has crapped out 3 times now, once only 2 hours after installing the replacement card they gave me.

Their service is good about replacing the item but I have spent near $30 in shipping and repeatedly had the same problem. I wish they would upgrade to a AIW 9600 rather than replace with identical card with the same crappy tuner.

Sigh, I think it's time to get a 9800 pro and a seperate tuner card.

ATI CS was good to me too...but this is something new to me. Most of the time they are very picky when it comes to certain things.

I bought a 9600 Pro a few months ago, in about 2 months the fan completely died. I wrote to them asking to send a replacement fan. They told me i had to RMA the whole card for just a fan....i mean come on...it would cost more for me to ship the card to them then it would be to replace a fan. Now i know what you thinking, ATI just wants to make sure you dont mess something up. I think its pretty idiot proof...if you can remove the card and install the card you can remove the 4 screws that hold the fan in place. If not, then you cannot install a video card nor should you even try. I ended up getting a Heatpipe cooler. THEY DO NOT ADVANCE RMA...this is something that is completely retarded. If you really think about it, why not advance RMA with a deposit or a Credit card number. Say you dont return the card and they charge you, hey ATI you just made another sale. Not to hard to understand.

I just got done with my 3rd RMA of my AIW 9700 Pro, first 2 i had to send out first. Each time it took about 2 weeks for the card to get back to me. The 3rd time they advanced RMA me a card without a deposit or a Credit card number. Now it seems they will advance rma on a exception basis. They really should be doing this all the time.

Another thing people are going to say is what happens to ATI when the credit card is no good. Well, ATI should check to see if the card is good and place a hold on the card itself. Its not hard to do and they are able to accept CC's to buy stuff through them. Even if the card is cut off by the person, the charge will still be there. They will still get paid by the credit card company and the credit card company will charge you. If you dont pay it then your credit gets hit and then goes to collections.

ATI CS was ok, its getting better....I was upset that my 9600 card needed to get shipped out for a fan and also upset that ATI wasnt able to advance shipped a card. What do they expect the people who use their PC's for business? We supposed to wait 2 weeks and put our affairs on hold? I would like to see more people getting their cards first, that way you not out of anything. You simply send your card back to them, if not they charge you..simple.
