ATI Remote Wonder Compatibility

Does the ATI Remote Wonder work with any computer, or do you have to have an AIW product. I RMA'd a 9800pro and forgot to send in the Remote, but they sent me a new one anyway. I let my friend have it, but it doesn't seem to work with his computer (he has a 9800 pro NON AIW).
 
it'll work with any system.

does he have the drivers installed? :p
 
As long as he's using the USB reciever and is loading the drivers first, before plugging it in, it should work fine. The problem is, other than Powerpoint and Winamp, I don't know what he'd use it for. It's mainly for the MMC that comes with the TV Tuner products and AIWs.
 
Well I guess he can use it for a mouse too if he gets lazy :p


He got it working now, but since we both have remotes, we had to set the remote ID's so they don't interfere. I was able to set mine no problem, but his isn't working. He can program the remote just fine, but when he sets the remote ID on the software, the remote won't work. Is there a trick to this?

and the remote works with PowerDVD...
