I built a new system and when I startup the system my display doesnt show anything. I tried a normal pci graphics card and it works fine but my pci-e card for some reason isnt working. I put both my pci-e and my pci graphics card in and used a seperate monitor for my pci card and i was able to get it to work for a bit. The pci graphics card would display the bios boot up sequence then after the operating system starts up my pci-e card would take over and then display everything on my dell 2001fp. Havent been able to get it to work again after removing the cards then reinstalling them.

My system specs:

CPU = P4 3.4GHZ
MOTHERBOARD = INTEL D915GEV
GRAPHICS CARD = ATI RADEON X800XL PCI-E
MEMORY = 1GB CORSAIR VALUE SELECT DDR2
POWER SUPPLY = PSU SEASONIC S12-380
LCD = DELL 2001fp

Did you install your Mobo drivers?

If you cna get into windoz.try seeing if the PCI-E slot is disabled

thanks for the reply's. i finally figured it out after days of trying to find what the problem was. one of the sticks of memory i recieved is bad. when booting with the bad stick of memory i get a blank screen. when booting without it just fine. i tried it using both sticks and by themselves. sad to find out a new stick of memory is bad when i just purchased it. :(
