I'm considering buying this card. Does anyone know of any common problems with this card? Also I may buy the 9800 pro instead. Anyone had problems with either card?
 
yes actually, for the price it is right now, yer better off waiting about a month or so for the 6600 gt which is half the price of the 9800xt. It still is a good card but might not be a wise investment at its price now and how fast video cards are getting outdated
 
Its fine, some people prefer the XT because it has the .13 core instead of the .15 pro core (very slightly less power hungry) Issues have all been ironed out a long time ago, its a solid chipset for sure.

6800 is nice, but also depends on the price you can get it for. X800pro/XT is a little expensive for most peeps who are thinking about upgrading to a 9800. 6600 and X700 will both be released as PCIE, for a brand new whole system they both should be a heavy consideration (A high end 6600 or X700 are looking very good, maybe even better than a 6800 non-ultra/LE)
 
I just picked up a 9800XT 256 for my work rig, seeing how I only paid $120 for it....It was a no brainer.
 
If the 9800XT follows suit with the 9800pro than it will probably be half the price this time next year. It might be best to wait a little while and save a ton of money in the process.
