i resently got a brand new radeon 9800 pro 128mb version i have all the right drivers but my video game picture is all messed up please help

ps i dont know how to post a screen shot for this so can some 1 tell me

There is a little mountain icon above the text box when typing your post, click it.

you will need to find an image host online, just google until you find a free one (i dont remember the one that other ppl use alot thats free)

those type of glitches (well not hte grey... but that crap coming off his head) is caused by the memory. RMA the card... if its not overclocked that is. if it is, take it down to stock clocks. i dont remember that game being grey like that at all, so id say that card is majorly fuxored

the game isnt grey it was just the image uploader

besides r u sure it is the video card cause i dont want to rma it unless i have to

ok now the color looks tons better, but yes that is definatly the video card. try to downclock the ram and see if it goes away. i ALWAYS got that on my 9600pro when i had the memory clocked too high. if its doing htat at stock, RMA the card.

i know. thats why i said downclock it, if it is doing it a stock see how low you have to take the ram clock speed before it goes away. when it does, it will give you absolute proof it is the ram, although i 99.9999% sure that is what it is.

another question would be...did you use the drivers that came with the card or download the new ones from the ATI site?

I just got done wiping the new CCC off my computer. It is a waste of contracted time if you ask me. Could not play City of Heroes at all. That looks like it is related to the driver, not so much the card. Verify what you have. Also...make sure you are uninstalling previous drivers out of your OS before installing the new.
