I know this is probably a dumb question, but as an NVidia only guy, can someone tell me what kind of ppd would one of these put out? Since they're cheap, I gotta guess it's very little, but the price is right, and I have a few family members with computers I could stick these in and Borg the heck out of! The 120 stream processors look promising, especially compared to the 96 in my 9600GSO:

Nvidia and ATI's idea of stream processors differ wildly. You'd expect a 4870 to be more then twice as fast as a gtx 280 because of the number of stream processor (800 vs 240) but we all know this is not the case. An interesting analogy I heard that may or may not be true is that all of the stream processors nvidia uses are "large" while ATI uses some "large" stream processors surrounded bymany smaller stream processors.

Anyway a 9600 gso would blow away the 3650. As a gtx 280 blows away a 4870 in folding.
 
Sounds good - that's why I asked. I knew that the 4870 with it's 800 SPs didn't hold up to the 280 when folding, but I thought that was due to F@H not utilizing the extra SP's... I was hoping the the 120 SPs here would help put it at least close to on par with my 96GSO for performance, but I'll just keep looking!

All I want is a 5K ppd card for less than $30! What's wrong with that, dammit? :D

Alas you're not going to find that card unless you buy it used and with some sort of defect.

A very rudimentary way of looking at it, but it is essentially correct.
