I know nvidia uses some kind of physix driver but does ATI have or use some kind of driver to? I use a ATI Sapphire 5870 1 gig. Thanks :)

PhysX is but one physics library. Only a very few games will actually use the GPU to help with PhysX. Specifically, the big ones are Mirror's Edge and Batman: Arkham Asylum. Not much else uses GPU PhysX.

And don't make the mistake some seem to in thinking that physics and physx are the same thing. Nvidia doesn't help with games using Havok for the physics engine, for instance. Only for PhysX library, and only for a small subset of games that specifically add GPU support.

You do still need the PhysX software package for some games and should download it from nVidia's website. It will just run PhysX in software mode on the CPU)
