Looking to pull the trigger on a second x1950 xtx . Found one for 450 cdn, not bad. You guys think they will drop further? I notice that the x1900 xtxs havent really come down that much.
I've have also heard that you now don't need a "master card (crossfire edition)". Seems like bollocks to me though. Thanks for your advice, just looking for some more gpupower for Allan wake and ut2007 at the end of this month.
 
The next time we'll see a price drop in current ATI hardware is probably when R600 comes out... maybe in one or two months. Might be worth the wait.
 
There are a handful of the cards that don't require master cards. Primarily 1950Pro's, 1600's, and 1300's. I think those are the only ones that officially don't require a master card. Not 100% sure on that but sounds about right.
 
thxs guys....ya it sucks. There is no info on the r600. Damn vista. I guess I'll have to wait to march. :mad:
