Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
thanks guys for replaying. can i ask, is your information up to date i know that matrox had better iq but that was before the 6800s or the x800s, what about today and what matrox card do you recommend (model) ?
Matrox is, hands down, the best in 2D graphics. They do not do well in gaming, but are excellent in the workstation situation (cards that can run up to 4 monitors, yum...)
Around like $100 you can get a good matrox card, but no gaming for you...
If you want to game and still have good 2D imaging, then ATI is your answer. Nvidia is still not as good in 2D as ATI.
as of 6800 series, ati and nvidia are neck and neck in terms of IQ. only probs with IQ are the occaisional blurry cards which is probably a manufacturer error
I dont think so. Having all kinds of cards from Matrox G400's to G450's to Parhelia's, the 2D image quality is only on par if not slightly worse than that of the high end nvidia cards (of any series) and high end ATi cards (of any series).
Basically, any Matrox will have better 2D than any GF MX card or bottom line ATi card, but when you get to high end cards, 2D is extremely hard to tell a difference in. Matrox does not have the best at all in my book.
quality is in the eyes of the beholder, that may be the sleep talkin, but im tired and i dont feel like arguing and looking up stuff to prove stuff that i said. gn
