ATI not showing my GPU temp?

I am using the most recent build of ATI's Catalyst drivers on my 9800XT.

When I go to my ATI settings menu and select the over drive tab, I don't see my GPU temp.

When I do the same on my buddies 9600 XT, the same drivers & tye same tab shows him his temp on the GPU...?

Why can't I see the same thing using the same drivers and utility as my friend?
 
sure you got the 4.1's on?
and maybe you have to enable overdrive....
 
which brand of card are you using exactly?

I know for a fact the Asus 9800XT does not use the same hardware monitoring that built by ATI cards use.
