Hey guys,
I just got a Sapphire Radeon x1900xtx (for $399 btw, open box at the egg.) and I have been getting some lockups when running games and randomly in the OS. Now I see this hotfix posted by ATI for nforce 4 platforms (the file is called ati_nforce4_hotfix_certified.exe)
ATI appearently does not support this driver or app whatever it is so it must be 3rd party.
Can anyone tell me what this is? is it a driver or just what is says, a hotfix?
There is nothing more listed on the ATI webpage about it and I want to know more about this possible fix.

What graphics card did you have previously and what PSU do you have. the PSU may not be enough for the new card.

That would explain the 64 MB's size.

Any idea if the regular OLD control panel is in there? I wont use CCC. Im on 6.3 as the FireMX 6.3 release with old CP was the last that came with the CP.

I do have the described of HANG in FarCry.

I'm running them for the last 3 days. Haven't found any difference in games, stability or quality yet. They sure don't hurt.

yay S754. most likely a conflict with the nividia and ati drivers. when i put a 6600GT in my friends e-machine with the ati chipset, it was being a bitch, not in drivers but the retarded bios. some cussing and tweaking got it workin
