ATI High Definition Adapter

Anyone know if this will work on non-ATI cards?

i.e. will this HDTV convert work on, say an nVidia GF4 MX or a Savage 4 based videocard?

(the VGA version would be used).

I'm looking at a way to hook up my TV using the component connections, without buying the AIW 9700 or 9800.

I don't think it works on non-ati cards. I haven't heard of anyone using it on anything other than ati cards. From comparing a DIY vga-component transcoder and a DIY ATI adapter, I think the drivers get the card to output a YPrPb signal and the adapter is just a dongle saying 'ok, you have this you can use this function'. This is what you'll need to connect your comp to your hdtv. Kinda expensive but so are most things in the home theater world.
