has anyone tried out the new laptop ATI HD 4330 card? i know its new, but i got a friend whos looking into a laptop with it in there.

Here's the guideline specs: http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-ATI-Mobility-Radeon-HD-4330.13973.0.html Manufacturers usually ship it at the guideline speeds or slower.
The specs give it about 3/4 the speed of the HD4350: http://www.gpureview.com/Radeon-HD-4350-card-585.html . IOW, it's slower than ATI's current lowest end discrete GPU. You might get 30fps in older games at 800x600, if that's considered gaming.
At least it's faster than integrated video.
