im thinking about getting a 9800 pro tommorow 256mb. when i bought my gpu block it came with a pad that went around the block for some protection. i didnt need this with my nvidia card. but i seemed to misplace this pad, do i need it?
 
dude... you need to be a bit more descriptive... what "pad"? And if the block makes good contact with the core, leave the piece of metal around the core.
