most CAD programs recommend these cards, although the processors on them are not by themselves impressive.
my last job inside corporate america, all the workstations had FireGL cards.
You go to Solidworks website, they suggest FireGL cards.
then you look at the specs - e.g. a 9600 with 128 MB RAM - and you feel like you're overpaying a lot.
what does the FireGL have/do that makes it worth the money ?
