Ati driver versions???

i wanted to see if i could get dirt 2 working in eyefinity, so....

i uninstalled my 10.1 hf drivers from the control panel., reboot. got generic desktop. rebooted again for good measure. installed catalyst 9.12 hf drivers. (i assume there is only one version of this driver???) rebooted. got desktop. made display group. rebooted for good measure. tried dirt 2, got black screens when switching to 5760x1200...hmmm so i check the driver version number in the ccc and it says 10.1. wtf. any ideas? the driver package version says 8.682.2 (which mathces the 9.12 version, but the catalyst version says 10.1) i just want to make sure i have 9.12 hf installed. although even if it is 9.12 hf dirt 2 still doesnt work at 5760x1200 grrr i dont understand.

ok so i got dirt 2 to work properly in eyefinity. turns out the aspect ratio should be left at normal. i had it on 16x10 from when i had the resolution set to 1920x1200 originally. so at least thats working now. i installed the 10.1 hf overtop the 9.12 hf just because the 9.12 didnt seem to make a difference. weird thing is, my screens were totally turning off when in power save mode or sleep. i didnt have the backlight issue. after the reinstalled driver sets now the backlights are staying on again. weird.
