ATI driver difficulty

So I recently updated my ATI 5770's drivers to the newest Catalyst ones out. I'm running w7 x64.

My problem is that it won't let me enable crossfire. I check the box and hit apply and it un-checks. So I restart. Great now crossfire is enabled, but my second monitor isn't detected anymore from CCC or Windows. I spam the detect monitor button but only my main shows up. So I uninstall CCC and my second monitor pops back on (extended desktop)

SO I uninstall and reinstall drivers, I roll drivers back, and I'm still getting the same problem.

If anyone knows any solution to this please let me know.
 
Well nevermind. Apparently all this time my old drivers had Crossfire enabled and let both monitors work while having each monitor plugged into a different card. I simply plugged both monitors into the top card and viola! In case anyone runs into this with the new driver updates.

EDIT: So I updated to the newest drivers again and now I can't enable crossfire. I check enable and apply and the checkmark disappears.
