Ati custom clock problem

Hey, I recently got my 4850 and been liking it, But I decided to see how overclockable it is. I went into the overdrive section of the ati software and no matter which clock's I try it allways gives me failed test. This includes stock clocks and even the lowest. I'm using windows 7 as my Os, but it shoulden't be a problem because I remember downloading the win 7 drivers.
 
Try a different program, like ATITool or ATI Tray Tools and see if you're still getting artifacts.If you're unsure how to use those programs, search the forum or the internet.

Overclocking with Atitool and the HD48xx series is not possible...
 
Thanks for that, I was wondering why it wasint working. Any other programs I should know about? ati tray tools is a bit buggy.

Are you sure about that?
Using the newest 'Beta' version, both overclocking and underclocking are working on all of my 4850's and 4870's.

Core and Mem sliders both go up to 1000 MHz, also with voltage controls, too.
