Did ATI Totally get rid of the ATI Control Panel? As I totally hate the Catalyst Control Center and I liked ATI CP better is it just hidden on thier site or did they axe it? I useing the newest drivers with my 9600XT and I just want to know if ATI CP is still available any where for the newest drivers Thanks
 
I agree with you. The CCC is clunky and slow, and it is difficult to use and cumbersome compared to the old school CP. It takes it an eternity to load, it forces separate 2d/3d clocks unless I have ATI Tool terminate that process and it seems to make my entire system boot up slower. It used to take all of 30 seconds on my 7900GT, now it takes that long just from the login screen to usability on the desktop. Meanwhile, the screen flickers black and forth, loading ATI processes and a bunch of useless crap that slows down my everyday usage. Never happened on my old system with my 9800 Pro (where I used oooold drivers predating the CCC).

I think there is something in dual monitor features that CCC has over ATT, but otherwise ATT is smaller, faster, and sports much more in the way of tweaking and profile management. If Ray Adams hadn't made it, I'd be in NVIDIA's camp all the way.
