Ati Control Center Problems

OK, first some background on my machine, then the problem.

I run Dual KDS RAD-5 15'' LCD panels, and I play a good amount of older games,
and I like to watch dvd's at the same time.
the old games automaticly switch to 640x480, which makes the DVD on the second screen pop, and shift, so to avoid this problem, I set the resolution of both LCD's to 640x480.

now, I installed the new CAT 4.9's, and the control center, (.net 1.1 was already installed, no problems there)

And now, for some odd reason, I can't select 640x480 as a resolution anymore, lowest I can go is 800x600, so I played around with the CCC a bit, and some how turned off one of my LCDs, then the hardware Resolution of my remaining LCD dropped to 640x480, and i'm not sure how I did it (or if I did it at all) but my desktop resolution is still 800x600
and now I can't select 1024x768 (my normal resolution)

anyone have any ideas?

i'm going to try going back to the old Ati control panel.
when that doesn't work, i'll check this thread again.

Uninstalled CCC, reinstalled CCC.

Ok, I go into Advanced view in the CCC, goto Displays manager, and there is only one display device listed, I just successfully cloned my second LCD..so it's now a clone of the first.

But nowhere do I see a way to set the Hardware Resolution of my LCD's, just a place to set the desktop size, and it's at 800x600 right now, (lcds are at 640x480 @ 60hz)

How in the hell are people supposed to know that you right click the fuckin picture to get to the REAL advanced device settings page?

EDIT: BAH! I still can't get the desktop rez to 640x480, hardware, yeah, sure, fine. but not the desktop size.

Catalsyt Control Center now uninstalled, back to the good old control panel applet

But now 640x480 isn't there..

am I missing something really easy?
