ATI Confirms Commitment to AGP Bus

Trick is ya gotta sell your 6800 GTs now why they can still demand a price in the mid 300s. Once the XL's hit the market Nvidia will have no choice but to slash the 6800 GT to around the same price (or lose all the market share it had gained over the past few months). And that means your used card depreciates $100 almost instaneously. If you have a halfway decent backup card and pay your own bills, the wise decision is sell that old GT now.

Well if you want to upgrade in the near future then sell now, but personally I'm just going to hold on to my GT for another year then retire it to a secondary box.

Anyone who is unhappy with their NVidia cards:

I have a Used Video Cards Recycling bin. *cough*PC*cough* Excuse me.

If you really hate NVidia soooo much, please allow me to recycle *cough*use*cough* your "decrepit" NVidia card so that there will be no harm to the environment.

Anyone who is unhappy with their ATI cards:

See previous statement. Replace "NVidia" with "ATI"

:p

ATI selling AGP cards is all BS. I've been shopping for a current generation card for my friend who needs an AGP card. I was going to get him an ATI card since ATI cards seem to perform better in HL2. However, the newest AGP card I could find under $250 from ATI was a 9800Pro, which, for all intents and purposes, is an expensive wad of trash compared to current generation mid range offerings. Thus I am limited to the 6600GT, which is not bad at all, but because of ATI's PE (Phantom Edition) AGP cards, I have no choice.

Notch one for NVidia.

I guess that point makes the score even. ;)
