ATi CCC program issues

after updating my drivers, which I'm having no issues with (except i cant find new drivers for this ATi Card, they dont even support it on ATi's site anymore, so its stuck at the Drivers that came on the Laptop for some stupid reason, which i posted a different thread about that), games are running perfect, as well as everything else. But my Catalyst Control Center, whenever I attempt to open it, says "Command Line Interface Has Stopped Working". I've tried reinstalling it, but it just keeps getting the same error. I've found threads on other forums of others having this issue, but none of them seem to have gotten any replies that gave solutions, so I figured I would ask my fellow [H]'rs. So any thoughts on a solution ? has anyone else here, experienced this issue with CCC ?

EDIT - oh and this is no for the laptop thats in my Sig, this is a friends laptop that I've been using while my GF has mine/ours. Its a Toshiba L675D with a Phenom II Dual-Core @ 2.9GHz, and the GPU is an ATi Radeon Mobility HD 4250.

ATT. Does everything the control panel can do, and then some... I spent ~6 years on Radeon cards and I never even installed CCC.

I didn;t kno that, i've always used Nvidia, thanks for the heads up. I really dont need CCC that bad, it was more of just the fact that it annoys me with things dont work properly.
