Hello i just got my 2600xt working in my pc, YAY for bad ram and now the damn CCC is tossing this at me

Could not load file or assembly 'CLI.Implementation, Version=2.0.2589.38366, Culture=neutral, PublicKey Token=90ba9c70f846762e' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

ideas on how to fix it?

I just reloaded xp sp2 and got the same message trying to install cat 7.10. Tried a few times, went back to 7.7 and loaded up fine. First time in all these years where the cats wouldn't install. I even tried stand alone 7.10 drivers still wouldn't load up.

You have to install Dot Net Framework 2.0 before installing the drivers. If you did it the other way then you'll have to completely uninstall the ATi drivers and CCC, boot to safe mode, use driver cleaner pro, boot to xp then re-install. Its the cleanest way to update drivers too.

Just an update, it took two runs in row even after I got the serious error message the first time which I ignored and the cat 7.10 would install but I could not get Battlefield 2 to work no how. Went and grabbed 7.9 and installed and everything is working fine.
I must admit Vista had not given me the same problems using the same machine. Mind you their is a couple of minor bugs in Vista that I hope sp1 will fix, it has more to do with the office programs in 2007. I think for now I'll just run a Virtual image of vista instead of duel booting.

I had this problem a couple of times. There is a .net fix from Microsoft that will clean up your .net installation if that's the problem.
