ATI Cards with Nforce Boards?

I am more than likely going to be using and X800 256 with an MSI Nforce 4 board, should I be looking towards any major problems, or loss of speed/power in my card from the conflicting manufacturers chipset?

they would only hurt themself it they did that because ATI card owners would go with a diff chipset
 
I have a X850XTPE and a MSI K8N Neo Plat (AGP & 754, Nforce 3) I have no problems that I can say are caused from conflicts.

Although when I originally installed Windows I had to use my VGA and not DVi because, well, because DVI wasn't giving out a signal. Once in Windows I switched and all was well (switched after a restart).
Although this did pose a problem again when I flashed my BIOS. I forgot to switch the wire back and lost signal again. This is a real pain in the ass at this point because the one thing your told to not do is restart when flashing BIOS but I had to in order to switch the wire.

But that seems to be a motherboard BIOS problem and not a ATi/nVidia problem.
 
ive been using nForce boards since they first came out. Ive also been using ATI cards since before that. They work just fine. ;)
 
I've used a 9600XT, 9700Pro, and 9800Pro on NF2 boards, as well as an X800XL on an NF4 board. Works perfectly in all cases :cool:
