ATI AVIVO question.

I'm trying to use AVIVO to convert a avi file to DVD. When I use it this way it makes a Mpeg2. What can I use to make the Mpeg2 into regular DVD files that I can burn on a DVD-R and watch in any DVD player?

I understand some players will take mpeg2 files, but I want it in actual DVD format with the VOB files, video_ts, audio_ts, etc.

Hey Phantom. Did a lot of research on this when I wanted to convert my camcorder mpg files to DVD. Found nothing very usable in Freeware and ended up buying a few different pieces of software until I found the right one for me. I ended up using Womble MPEG Video WIzard. Bit of a learning curve but it works. See link.....

I also just remembered one of the reasons why I ilked Womble's Product better than the rest. When it does the conversion to a differernt video format, it's one of the few product that doesn't recompress the video if it doesn't have to. Most products recompress the video regardless of necessity and as a result there is loss of quality.

doesnt dvdsanta do this? Ive not done this kind of work for some time now.. but Im pretty sure thats what I used and was real easy with good results.

Yeah it does, but now it costs $30.00 or you can use the trial version but it puts a watermark/demomark on the video output file.
