ATI and X64

I just installed windows x64 and my ati video card works fine but windows is stilling finding new video hardware, yet the mobo has no built in vid mem. and the ati card is already recognized...


Any thoughts???

hmm this is a long shot but is the first thing that came to my mind.......go to device manager and see if it shows any other display adaptors besides your video card and if so try disabling it(them)

X1900XT has WDM/Avivo drivers that also need to be installed separately if you are not installing the CCC drivers.

Yes, and ATi uses one device for each display, so you get two videocard devices, a primary and a secondary display.

why's that? i only have one monitor :S

i have 3 CLI.exe
and 2 ati2evxx.exe

I had a feeling that was the reason why..cuz of the secondary display...

You think ATI would give that driver plug in when you download them off there web site...

where can i find those drivers (X1900XT WDM/Avivo drivers)
