Hello. I am looking to purchase an ATI X1900XTX for my gaming system. Fine, you say, so what's your question?
Well, simply put, I am one of the rare losers who has the Dell 3007, 30" LCD. My current card, a Nvidia (shun!) 7800GT works fine with it, of course, but a little lacking in the pure "guts" side of thing.
My question is this: With my Nvidia 7800GT, I had to install a special Dell driver, followed by a special EVGA driver, to get the monitor to run at the native resolution of 2560x1600.
How will it work with ATI? I can install the Dell thing, of course, but what about driver support? I know all of the "horror" stories with ATI drivers, etc, but has anyone actually run one of the 3007s with any of the more recent Catalyst releases, and have any stories?
Thanks in advance!
