Ok, I have a bone stock ATI 9800 XT 256MB graphics card I running.

I have not overclocked anything so everything is running as is stock 411MHz.

My question is that when I goto the ATI software, it shows my video card is 66c degrees just running web browser apps and idle.

I feel the card and it feels pretty warm/hot but I am not sure if this is normal.

I don't have a stock cooling fan for this card since it was a test card from work so I bought this thing from Newegg and have it running at the highest speedLink

Should I be worried with these temps on my card or is it made to handdle the heat?

I may be wrong, so if someone knows more, correct me. Yet, I have seen others on this forum running upwards of 80C+ at full load with those cards. So, unless you are breaking well past 80C at load, you are likely OK. I would check the seating of you HSF to be safe. Also, you could try the Arctic Cooler. Works well on my 9800SE->9800Pro OCed beast.

Actually, my 9800 is clocked well past your 9800XT.... Perversely, other than your extra memory, my card is theoretically faster for less than half the price. :D
