changed out my Stock Fan for a Zalaman FS-V7 Fatal1y VGA fan. everything went together great, with no problems. I did notice that Fan was a little loose. I could turn it just a lttle not much. but i could not pull it from the card at all. Screws were nice and tight Bracket all the way down. Well i put it in my rig, and hooked up everything as normal. Started the computer. But There were lines of coruption all over the screen. I could see most of the text but not all. but when Windows loaded you could see windows still but there where little green lines all over the screen. Looked like the Matrix but with lines..
so i removed the card re-installed it same. I unstalled the drivers and re-stalled them same. I Flashed the ATI Bios but same. I'm pretty sure i used the same Bios. Anyone have any Ideas. I cannot afford a new card. This one was already pretty expensive.

any help would be great..
here are some pictures of the problem

well i'm thinking its overheating also, but it overheat At start up?

i checked the chip to make sure everything is ok, but nothing is cracked or anything.. Also I Noticed when i try to start a game it said that the 3d acceleration is not enabled or something like that.. I'll double check that.

What temps are you getting? That really sucks if it's permanent.. What brand is it? Hopefully you can send it to ATI and they'd probably give you a new/better card.

I'll check the temps when i get home from work, i tried lastnight but i guess my card dont have a sensor on the chip. I had it for almost a year now. Would they take something like that back? even if you took the stock fan off?

I was talking to one of the tech guys here at work. He said i might have the fan to tight and its pushing all the theremal compound off the chip. making it over heat. He said if i cracked it, i wouldnt even beable to see any on my screen. I'll go home try to loosen it and put some theremal tape on it insteed of theremal compound.

Yea its moving, that was the first thing i noticed. I really think its a over heating problem.. I had water cooling on this card before. I rember when i first put the tubes on i pitched the tube when i put the side case on and when i started the computer up pretty much the same problem i have now. so it has to be a heating problem
