ATi 9700 Problem @ Boot Up

Hey Guys,

I think this issue is related to my 300W powersupply but not sure. My computer always boots up at 640X480 32bit. I disabled DCC and still nothing. This is what I am running in addition to my sig 2 HD's, 1 cd-rom. Anyone have any ideas?

Could it be a problem with the card?
I was having probs installing a 9200 in my g/fs new system.
It wouldn't let me into windows2000 90% of the time with the drivers installed. Once I uninstalled the drivers it would run fine but be stuck at 640x480. The place we bought the system from is sending us another one for free.
Maybe you should take it back too.
 
Do you by any chance have LargeSystemCache enabled?

That caused my Radeon9700pro to start at stupidly low resolution.
