I am having trouble with 9700 Pro colored lines after installing Zalman VGA cooler help please.
Asus P4GX Deluxe MB
1024 DDR2100 Ram
3.06 Intel cpu
Vantec 480 psu

That usually means you got something onto the pins of the RAM chips or somewhere else. Were you using a conductive, capactive grease like Artic Silver? That stuff can cause real problems if you get it in the wrong place. Look carefully at the board and see if you got some heatsink grease or anything else anywhere but on top of the GPU and clean it off. Lines usually mean video RAM corruption so that's probably where it is.
