ati 9.4 install issue - bios reset?

I was upgrading from 8.12 drivers to 9.4 drivers last night and during the restart it wouldn't actually restart. It would hang on the shutdown screen.

I then manually restarted using the tower button only to find my bios settings had been set to default.

I am using the following:

P5Q pro
Q6600, was oc'ed to 3.4 and perfectly stable (5+ months with no issues)
Ati 4850
Vista 64

Any ideas? After booting back into windows the drivers were updated to 9.4 and worked fine.
