ati 8.5 drivers don't work

This is yet another HDMI/DVI Widescreen bug!!!
I have the same problem, and without the CCC there is no way to fix it. BUT if you use the CCC, go to the option under DTV (DVI) and go to Scaling Options, you will find the slider is in the middle position, which is the problem, just drag the slider all the way over to the right (overscan 0%), and your screen will fill, and work at it's native res.

I have just installed them i and i have no problems except my network and mouse didn't work after the reboot ... but thats fixed now.

I know what you mean....I installed the 8.5's, rebooted, and now my VCR blinks 12:00 at me all the time.....Damn ATI for their sorry drivers....I guess I will go reformat....

why not rip them out with a driver cleaner first,before reformat.Just a suggestion

Come on, the reference to a VCR should've given that away.
