Hey all,

Will the following card work with an Earthwatts 500 PS?

SAPPHIRE 100269SR Radeon HD 4890

or

PNY GTX 275

Also, which of the cards do you think is better?

Thanks!

Thanks :)

Asus P5Q SE
8GB Corsair 800
Antec 1200

EA 500
22 lcd @ 1680x1024
I play UT3, CoDs, MMOs
either one of the cards

Looks like I was wrong on the price. Get the GTX 275 as its now roughly the same price as the slower HD 4890 for the games you play.

Tbh though, this thread belongs in the graphics card section and not here.

Well, I mostly want to know if the EA500W can handle my system with either card.

The answer is yes but this still belongs in the VGA forum as it's 75% VGA and 25% PSU inquiry. Not to mention you're more likely to run into people that know power draw of video cards in the VGA forum than here.

Considering a roughly state of the ART pc barely draws 500w I think your mid - high end PC would be somewhere in the 250 - 300w range. Including a GTX 275 or HD 4890.
