Athlon64 not working

Alright so my computer won't work. I don't know if it is the cpu or mobo or what. For a while when I turned it on it would run for 10 seconds maybe and then shut down. After I took the mobo out and put it back in it now will run and stay running but I can't get any post. I have reset bios, reseated ram, reseated cpu, everything. Even without the cpu even in it does the same thing. I don't get any error codes or anything either.

system is:
Athlon64 3000
MSI Neo platinum
silverstone 460w psu
geforce 6800
corsair xms 3200 ram
 
I've heard bad things about that Neo Platinum. Anyway, does it give any beep codes?

Make sure your heatsink/fan is on correctly, make sure you have enough juice going to the video card, make sure the reset jumper isn't set (if there is one)
 
If it does not give you any beeps with the RAM and cpu removed, I would suspect that your mobo is no good. You should, however, test the psu before coming to this conclusion.
 
well off chance but you power butten may be stuck mine does this some times when the power switch doenst reset back all the way try just shorting the power switch pins on the mobo
 
I don't get any beep codes or anything. I have reseated the hsf many times so I'm thinking as well the mobo is dead. I just hope it didn't take the cpu with it.
