Athlon XP 2500+ Mobile Overclocking

Greetings, I have just got a new set up and me and a friend were trying to overclock the Athlon Xp Mobile, but it seems that everything I try, the frequency, etc, doesn't work. At first I thought it was Doom 3, but then it crashed just in windows. My system is the following. Does anyone know a safe/stable overclocking setting?

CPU - Athlon XP 2500+ Mobile
Motherboard - A7N8X-E Deluxe
RAM - 512 of PC 3200
Video - nVidia GeForce 4 ti4200
System - Windows XP Professional

God, I everything I think. I don't remember, he was doing it, I was playing his PSP I think this because I called him later, asking what else I could do, and he said he had no ideas.

try 200MHz FSB, 11x - 11.5x multi, 1.65v

then run prime95 overnight.

if it doesn't fail, then up the multi again and prime it again.

it it fails, up the voltage a fuzz and prime it again.

Thank you, good sir. I shall certainly try it. Though, I have heard Prime95 isn't good for the cpu.

Agreed. Prime 95 is just mathematical calculations that keep your CPU at 100% load. Running your CPu at load over a long period of time is the best way to test the stability of it.

i had to set my athlon XP-M @ 22multi wich makes it 12.5.... not shure why but it was the only way for it to overclock at all. so i now run 200 @ 22 (12.5) rock solid w/ 1.850 vcore.
