I built my new gaming computer following the guide put up here a few months back.
Its an athlon 64 3500+, running on an Abit AV8. It has an Antec trupower 430 w PSU that came with my antec case.

From the first time I booted this system I've had this problem, it will start to boot up, get about 5 seconds in , and start over. The fans all stop, and the whole process starts over. Most of the time turning the PSU off and back on will make it boot up. It runs great once its booted. I've replaced just about every piece of hardware exept the psu mobo and proc and RAM. Today is the first time I haven't been able to make it boot at all. It just cycles the first 5-10 seconds of boot up.

I really love this system when its running, anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

try reseting the bios? flash it when and only you are SURE and POSITIVE it will not crash or shut down on you.

Also i'd try another PSU.

i'd also try taking everything apart, especially the mobo off the mobo tray and rebuilding it outside the case on a box and see if the problem still occurs.

Sounds to me like the system is drawing a lot of power on start up, and this is causing instabilities.

Once the stuff (fans, drives, etc) are turning, the system will be stable.

Might try changing out the PSU and seeing if this fixes the problem... hey, you have replaced everything else.

well i unplugged all the fans and everything, and was able to get it booted up. So I'll swap the power supply this weekend and see what that does.
Thanks for the help guys. I'll let you know what happens.
