I recently upgraded to dual core because of the price drops. I have been trying to overclock the processor, and I am noticing some troubling temperature readings.

I have two questions: Why the large discrepancies between ITE and Core Temp? Also, what temperature is considered 'safe' for the PWM IC? I saw readings as high as 58 when I was testing the overclock.

Thanks

The PWM IC can be run quite hot before noticing any problems. I ran with mine at almost 70'c for 2 years before I even knew what a PWM IC even WAS.

Are those temps under idle or load?

PWM IC

if idle 41 is hot for <1.5vcore

reseat you block or maybe low flow? what temp is it in your room?

Oops, I forgot to menion. These temps are under load (dual prime). Any thoughts on the large difference between the core temps? (the screen shots are all taken at the same time)
