I recently rebuild my computer into a ATCS case. I have left all the fans (front and top) alone to test case temps before possible replacing the top fans with 3 120mm SilenX 38mm 90CFM fans, or 3 Noctua fans.
I currently have two of the SilenX fans outside the HDD case and another 120mm fan at the botton of the case to keep cool air close to my 4870x2 which is at the bottom slot of my mobo.
All the three 240mm fans as well as the 120mm fans outside the HDD cage are connected to a NXZT Sentry fan controller. The CPU seems to be decently cooled with the CPU heatsink but my 4870x2 seems to be having trouble staying cool along with my 4550 (which is passively cooled). I have the fan on the 4870x2 set to run at 45% in Rivatuner. I would prefer to not kick it up too much higher as I can barely hear it as it stands.
Here is my question:
Would I notice enough of a decrease in temps if I took one of the two fans up top and flipped it so its an intake rather than an exhaust? What if I took both fans and make them intakes?
