Hey,

Just wondering. Im at about 55-60% full at the moment with the OS/GW2/L4D2/BF3 as well as Photoshop/Dreamweaver/AutoDesk Inventor. At what % full do SSDs start to noticeably slow down?

I already moved my pagefile and virtual memory to my HDD to keep some space open.

Also, would a program like AutoCad Inventor benefit from a SSD or would it perform the same on a HDD?

I guess ill reply to myself. Here is what ive found so far from Google:

Random writes slow down, yes. There are a very few conditions where they do not (and they have to do with bottlenecks in SSD controller design etc).

The other performance cases : random reads, sequential writes and reads do not have to slow down in a reasonable SSD.

Mixed workloads that involve random writes as a % will slow down as well, of course.

only write speed slows down.

if you look on tweaktown, they show how the drive performs at 25%, 50%, 75% capacity. usually they're really close together.
