Hey guys,

I was finally able to OC my northwood 2.6c to 3.1 (loosened up ram timings, more vcore, raised fsb to 240) today but after fiddling around in the bios of my p4s800, i came upon something weird.

i am able to choose to set my memory up in asynchronous mode, which means it'll run ddr400. however, in another menu, i can choose memory speed. my options are 400 mhz and 480 mhz.

what exactly is the difference between these two selections? what will happen if they dont agree? or am i just misunderstanding what asynchronous means? :confused:
