According to DigiTimes, Asustek is planning to increase it’s Intel-based notebook shipments to 90% and lowering its AMD based laptop shipments to only 10%, down from the current 30%.

Asustek Computer has adjusted its notebook strategy to increase the proportion of Intel's Santa Rosa Refresh and Montevina platforms up to 90% of its notebook shipments, while dropping AMD-based platforms from 30% to around 10%, according to sources at the company.

Hector: "This in Intel's fault. Waaaahhh, Waaaaaahhhh."

I bet the K8 based Griffin is really going to turn that market share loss around. :p

And the fallout contiunes? This is very bad news for DAMMIT,as Asus is getting really big in the portable arena.Retaking these lost manufacturing wins will be more then an uphill battle.
