Just starting this to discuss whether it's possible that Asus might release a Pro version of its Z97 ITX motherboard when desktop Broadwell comes out next year.

What do you guys think?

I really really doubt it. There is the Impact board to fill that space. I think ASUS realized Deluxe and Impact were too much in that space...

+1. If they haven't released the Z97i-Pro/Deluxe by now, they probably won't.

By the time Broadwell is out next year, there's a good chance that the price of the Impact VII will have dropped very close to the price the Pro/Deluxe board slots in (Impact VII is $240, the Impact VI is now under $200, and the Z87-Deluxe started at $190).

I think there will be Asus Z97I-Deluxe for mainstream users. The Plus is low end, and the Impact is for ultra geeks only with all the silly proprietary mini boards.

Rebootin is echoing most my thoughts. The Impact VII is extremely high end. And the Plus is okay, but it doesn't come close to the premium feel of the Z87I Deluxe, which is why I think Asus might release a Z97 Deluxe/Pro next year to get another product cycle in for ITX. By Quarter 2 next year, Almost everyone who would have wanted a Z97I-Plus or and Impact VII would've gotten it already.

Wonder if we get a Z97I-Pro/Deluxe if it will be in white and black to match the X99 Deluxe. That would be sweet.

By Q2'15, everyone that needed a Z97i-Deluxe/Pro will have conceded and purchased either the cheaper Z97i-Plus, or the pricier Impact VII instead (or another brand, like MSI that actually offers something comparable).

Don't get me wrong. I do agree that ASUS *should* be selling a Z97i-Deluxe/Pro, just that it seems very late in the release cycle to be doing so between now and June '15. They really should've had this product on shelves back in May/June during the Haswell Refresh and Devil's Canyon launches.

As a fellow consumer I agree with you entirely. We should have had a Deluxe/Pro ITX already.

But from a business standpoint, Asus would be going into next year with no ITX releases at all. Asus always has an ITX release every year, so in order to stay competitive they're going to have to give us something Q2'15.

If not a Z97I-Deluxe then maybe...

Oh my god.

Guys! Do you think we'll get a TUF series ITX next year? I'd be just as excited for that as I would be a Deluxe.

With armor. Please have armor.
