Hi all,

Probably a silly question but here goes,

I'm adding an SSD to my existing setup, Asus Z87 pro, 4770K, Evo 120GB, and plan to use raid-0 for the boot drives. Having not done it on this board before I was looking in the manual to see if anything has changed since I last setup a raid on X58. It says if the SATA ports are set to raid mode, all sata ports run at raid together. Does this mean I won't be able to use my other 3 drives on the Intel ports or will they work ok? Should I set raid up on the Asmedia sata ports.

Thanks
Doc

When you set up your RAID, you select which drives are part of the array.

Any drives not part of the array will work normally.

Thanks a bunch. I thought building the array wouldn't effect the others but its been awhi!e since I used raid.
