Asus z170 pro gaming boots when pressing space bar

I recently installed a new Asus Z170 pro gaming mobo in my rig. I disabled the option in the UEFI to boot when pressing a key combination. Still, the computer boots up when I press the space bar. I hate that because my cat tends to walk on my keyboard.

Is there a known issue with this motherboard?

I too had the same issue with the Asus Maximus Hero VIII, I could not disable it in the UEFI. This behavior only occurred using a keyboard with a ps2 connection, once I switched it with a USB keyboard I could disable the option in the UEFI to boot when pressing a key combination.
