ASUS Xonar Essence STX owners - Win 10 driver released!

Oh snap! I am about to help a buddy move to 10 and he has my old Xonar STX card. Thx for the info!
 
FWIW... mine worked fine with the win7 drivers after upgrade to win10.
I had to edit the 8.1 driver .dll to OS=donotcare for it to install, but it seems to work.

I have not tried the windows 10 ones yet.

... currently experiencing intermittent (might happen once a night, or less) all of a sudden tons of crackling on mic - unplug mic and plug it back in and it's 100% fine. If i manipulate the mic plug, spin etc. it makes no difference. Must unplug-replug.

Seperately, i'm getting what appears to be EMI on the mic. Sounds like a harely in your car that's four cars back with your windows up to others when gaming. I can literally be at the desktop, with no issues and open mic - click on the game and the issue appears. GPU EMI is the common belief.

You or your buddy have mic issues with he Xonar STX?

Looking forward to trying the win10 drivers.
Not looking forward to dealing with ASUS to RMA the card.
